Job summary

JLM Strategic Talent Partners is seeking a Quality Control professional to support civil construction projects in the Los Angeles area. The role requires on-site presence, strong communication, and team leadership to ensure quality and compliance with drawings and specs.

You will inspect construction activities, guide engineers, and coordinate with reviewers and consultants to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have construction quality control experience in engineering or civil construction.
• Strong communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments.
• Willing to work on-site in Los Angeles and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection and testing as required by drawings and specs.
• Lead small groups of engineers to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Ensure work meets deadlines and is documented.
• Communicate findings via drawings, reports and meetings.
• Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and Site Engineers on quality.
• Inspect and check all quality procedures on site per method statements.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• The ideal candidate has a proven track record of previous Quality Control experience in engineering and/or civil construction work.
• They thrive in a fast paced and a team oriented environment.
• They get excited about construction projects as well as completing assignments on time.
• An individual who will do well in this position is self oriented, organized, a great communicator, and approachable.
• Comfortable working within a team environment at the project site in Los Angeles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS

• Construction experience is a must
• Perform all daily inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed on or off site
• Lead small groups of engineers to complete project requirements
• Coordinate with reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work
• Perform work within project deadlines
• Clearly communicate work through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchange
• Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and Site Engineers in charge of inspection and meeting about quality problems
• Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures on the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan
• Other duties as assigned
