Peregrine Solutions, a Washington, DC‑based women‑owned small business, seeks an experienced Construction Quality Assurance Inspector to join our onsite team in Washington, DC. You will enforce contract specifications, quality standards, and best practices across all construction phases, ensuring compliance and on‑time progress.

The role requires 5+ years on large projects, CQM and OSHA‑30 within 30 days, and proficiency with Prolog, Procore, eBuilder and Kahua.

Qualifications

• 5+ years on $50M+ construction projects including public sector work.
• CQM certification within 30 days of hire.
• OSHA-30 certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience overseeing architectural installations and material take-offs.
• Familiar with USACE 3-phase quality control process.
• Proficiency with Prolog, Procore, eBuilder and Kahua.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 3-Phase Quality Control construction management process is implemented and followed throughout active construction phases and close‑out.
• Provide daily onsite field inspection of construction activities to ensure work is performed in compliance with contract documents, specifications, approved drawings, and applicable codes.
• Conduct audits and inspections of completed work to verify adherence to quality workmanship and material standards.
• Monitor and document construction milestones, phasing/sequencing, and critical path activities.
• Generate detailed daily field reports, including photos, progress notes, discrepancies, and corrective actions, and upload them to the project management system.
• Support QA Manager with punch‑list development and verification of completed work for monthly pay applications.
• Verify and track materials delivered and stored onsite and off‑site.
• Monitor site safety practices and cleanliness in coordination with the General Contractor and report any deficiencies.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and inspectors to facilitate issue resolution and maintain project momentum.
• Capture and manage pre‑construction, progress, and post‑construction photos.
• Assist with reviewing submittals, mock‑ups, and as‑built documentation.

About this position

We are looking for an experienced and detail‑oriented Construction Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team in Washington, D.C. This full‑time, onsite role is responsible for ensuring compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, and best construction practices across all phases of construction.

What you’ll do

• 5+ years with $50M+ construction projects; public sector, historic renovations, commercial construction, and renovation experience required.
• Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• OSHA‑30 certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with oversight of architectural component installation, design/spec reviews, and material take‑offs.
• Strong familiarity with construction codes, materials, and USACE 3‑phase quality control process.
• Proven ability to identify and communicate issues related to workmanship, material quality, and specification compliance.
• Proficiency with construction project management systems (Prolog, Procore, eBuilder, Kahua).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well with cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to obtain an HSPD‑12 or specific government agency badge as required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to work full‑time onsite.
