Job summary

Barton Malow is seeking a Construction Quality Engineer/Manager for a thermal project in New Albany, OH. This role drives the quality program across self-perform, subcontractors, and vendors, with travel expected for assignments in the region.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of QA/QC on industrial/energy projects, strong inspection/testing experience, and proficiency with MS Office. OSHA 30 is preferred; strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in construction QA/QC on industrial, automotive, and energy projects.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods within the region.
• Experience with construction inspection and testing techniques.
• OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining an effective quality control program per the Barton Malow Quality Manual, codes, drawings, specs, standards, and contract docs.
• Review and approval of subcontractor quality programs, inspection/test procedures, and qualification records.
• Ensure all required testing and inspections are performed.
• Establish witness/hold points for inspection as needed.
• Identify and control nonconformance items; process corrective actions and disposition.
• Initiate corrective action for deviations in documents and processes.
• Coordinate qualified testing labs or third-party inspection agencies for compliance.
• Submit monthly quality reports with measurable results.
• Collect and maintain project quality docs including logs, test reports, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager on quality issues.
• Be involved with startup of equipment and systems.
