Job summary

QCS Staffing seeks a Construction QA Manager for a high-profile life sciences project in Ohio. This initial 12-month contract focuses on ensuring quality across mechanical, process piping, and E&I installations on a new-build facility.

You will lead two Quality Inspectors, review quality plans, ITPs, NCRs, and turnover packages, and drive timely resolutions with construction and engineering teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Significant construction QA/QC experience on large, complex capital projects in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience in pharmaceuticals or other highly controlled process industries.
• Strong mechanical and process-piping quality knowledge, including welding, piping installation, materials, testing and construction documentation.
• Experience managing inspectors or coordinating contractor quality personnel.
• Experience reviewing ITPs, inspection reports, NCRs, corrective actions and turnover packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction quality activities across the project, with primary responsibility for mechanical and process systems and additional oversight of CSA and E&I installations.
• Manage, coordinate and set priorities for two Quality Inspectors, ensuring inspection coverage is aligned with construction schedules, critical work activities and project risks.
• Review contractor quality plans, inspection and test plans, method statements, welding documentation, material records and other quality deliverables for completeness and compliance.
• Monitor EPCM, construction management and trade-contractor quality performance through field engagement, surveillance, quality meetings, audits and review of inspection records.
• Review non-conformance reports, corrective actions and recurring quality issues; challenge inadequate responses and coordinate timely resolution with construction, engineering and contractor teams.

• Demonstrated experience managing inspectors or coordinating contractor quality personnel.
• Experience reviewing ITPs, inspection reports, NCRs, corrective actions, weld procedures and construction turnover packages.
