Job summary

LMI is seeking a Construction Quality Assurance (QA) Representative to assist CBP with construction oversight along U.S. borders. The role requires experience in field engineering supervision, QA, safety, and problem solving, with travel to TX Big Bend sites. A background in construction management is preferred and U.S. citizenship is required for clearance.

Position is full-time, temporary (12–36 months) in the Big Bend, TX region. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction oversight and surveillance.
• Ability to review schedules, pay estimates, and progress data.
• Background in construction management preferred.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day surveillance over field engineering activities.
• Provide guidance on safety and QA and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review contractor schedules for logic and feasibility to meet milestones.
• Review pay estimates, progress data, and material usage reports.
• Prepare daily activity reports with progress, delays, and issues.
• Support safety and QA guidance across project team and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with environmental Best Management Practices.
• Support outreach and coordination with stakeholders as needed.
• Assist the Construction Oversight Manager and COR/PM.
• Analyze problems and interpret plans and specs.
• Monitor work layout and in-progress inspections.
