Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join the Purchasing Department. The role involves bidding on new projects, maintaining scopes of work, tracking blueprints and design changes, and managing costs. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; related experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Solicit bids.
• Pre-qualify subcontractors.
• Setup and monitor option costs and sales prices.
• Maintain and update current budgets.
• Spread revised bids and obtain approval for any price increases.
• Prepare direct costs analysis and variances for review.
• Input original Direct Costs budget.
• Execute lot starts and final proof all unit costs.
