We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Superintendent to oversee the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will provide strong field leadership, coordinate day-to-day construction activities, and ensure work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality standards. This role requires a hands‑on leader who can build effective relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, clients, and internal project teams.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining site logistics and execution plans; coordinating subcontractor activities and site resources; reviewing drawings, specifications, and method statements; monitoring progress against the construction schedule; and identifying and resolving issues before they affect project delivery. You will lead regular site meetings, maintain accurate daily records, inspect completed work, manage quality control processes, and ensure all documentation is current. The Superintendent will also enforce health, safety, and environmental requirements, conduct site inspections, support incident investigations, and promote a culture in which safe work is treated as a priority. Additional duties include coordinating inspections and testing, assisting with forecasting and cost control, reviewing change work, and communicating project updates to stakeholders.
Applicants should have several years of progressive construction supervision experience, with a proven record of delivering projects from mobilisation through completion. A degree, diploma, or trade qualification in construction management, civil engineering, building services, or a related discipline is desirable. Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, contract requirements, safety legislation, and quality assurance processes is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, organisation, problem‑solving, and leadership skills, together with the ability to read technical drawings and use construction management software. A proactive approach, sound commercial awareness, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are also required. Relevant safety certifications, first aid training, and project‑specific licences will be advantageous.
