Job description

Manage the installation of Water Treatment Equipment at a new build Semiconductor Fab in Arizona. Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract (Project-Based). Project Duration: Estimated 18–24 Months. BWW are designing and procuring water treatment systems in a new-build semiconductor fabrication facility (fab) in Arizona and are looking to recruit an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the installation of ultra-pure water (UPW), wastewater treatment (WWT), and Brine Recovery (BRF) equipment.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Required Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in construction project management, with at least 4 years leading installation of water treatment, UPW, or industrial process systems for high-tech manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or large-scale industrial facilities.
  • Proven history managing installation projects ≥$10M in value; experience with semiconductor fab construction is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Arizona construction regulations, ADEQ water quality standards, and environmental permitting processes.
Preferred
  • Good knowledge of water treatment equipment, high-purity piping (PVDF, PE, electropolished stainless steel), and clean construction practices.
  • Ability to use project management tools: Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, or BIM software.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards, SEMI codes, and mechanical/electrical construction specifications.
  • Leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
  • Direct experience with UPW systems for semiconductor manufacturing and wastewater systems preferred.
Knowledge of cleanroom construction and contamination control protocols.
Experience working with EPC firms or global semiconductor equipment suppliers.
Familiarity with Arizona’s desert climate considerations for water conservation and system durability.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time on-site presence at the Arizona fab construction site is required; occasional travel to vendor facilities or regional offices may be necessary.
  • Work may include flexible hours or occasional weekends to meet critical milestones.
  • Requires adherence to strict PPE and site safety protocols at all times.
Certifications
  • PMP (Project Management Professional), equivalent certification or demonstrable experience required.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) license or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification; Arizona specific safety training is a plus.
Installation Planning & Strategy

Working with the Senior Project Manager and client’s Engineer of Record, you will develop and execute a detailed piping and equipment installation plan, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management for water treatment systems encompassing raw water filtration, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, EDI, UPW polishing, chemical dosing, wastewater collection/treatment, and zero-liquid discharge (ZLD) / Brine Recovery.

You will closely collaborate with our engineering and supply chain teams to hone the design and be part of the team to source, select and manage relevant subcontractors to ensure timely, safe and accurate installation, adhering to the necessary local, state, and federal permits and ensuring compliance with Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), OSHA, NFPA, SEMI S2, and other semiconductor and environmental standards.

On-Site Execution & Management
  • Manage appointed installation subcontractors, equipment technicians, piping specialists, and safety officers; overseeing day-to-day on-site activities and ensuring all work proceeds according to approved Issued for Construction drawings.
  • Manage receipt, inspection, storage, and rigging of specialized water treatment equipment, ensuring proper handling of sensitive, high-precision components.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and instrumentation (MEP&I) tie-ins between water treatment systems, the fab’s central utility plant (CUP), and process tool connections where required.
  • Manage construction redlines, field markups, and as-built documentation.
  • Conduct rigorous site inspections, quality checks, pre-commissioning inspections, and pressure/leak testing.
Control & Stakeholder Management
  • Track installation progress against agreed milestones.
  • Manage the installation budget and change orders to avoid cost overruns or delays.
  • Resolve on-site technical issues, design conflicts, and vendor/contractor disputes quickly to keep the installation on track.
  • Provide regular updates to the Senior Project Manager including detailed progress, safety, and compliance reports.
  • Lead safety initiatives to maintain a zero-incident culture; enforcing OSHA and site safety protocols for all personnel.
  • Collaborate with the appointed Commissioning Manager and team, to ensure a smooth transition to equipment testing and sign off.
