Job summary

The Boring Company seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead tunneling project planning and scheduling. You will coordinate timelines, resources, and budgets across sites, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to scope.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and 2–6 years of construction scheduling experience, strong communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to risk and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• 2-6 years of experience in construction planning or project scheduling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proactive in identifying issues and providing solutions to prevent delays or cost overruns.

Responsibilities

• Project Scheduling & Planning: develop and maintain detailed construction schedules and labor plans, coordinate with engineering and business operations leaders, and create/manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Resource Management: allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials, and track/adjust resource allocation to meet changing project requirements and deadlines.
• Risk Management: identify potential scheduling conflicts or delays and propose solutions to mitigate project disruptions, and develop contingency plans and maintain communication with stakeholders.
• Collaboration & Communication: work closely with project managers, engineering, and construction teams to ensure all parties are aligned with the project schedule and deadlines, and provide regular progress updates, including reports on schedule adherence and overall status.
• Continuous Improvement: analyze project data to identify trends and recommend improvements to scheduling processes, contribute to the ongoing development of best practices in construction planning.
