Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead onsite structural steel erection and miscellaneous metals projects, coordinating with teams to deliver on time and within budget.

You will review specifications, prepare critical documents, and maintain detailed progress reports while coordinating with subcontractors, fabricators and clients to ensure project success and strong relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience.
  • Prior Project Management experience in steel fabrication/erection or miscellaneous metals.
  • A valid US driver's license is required.
  • Knowledge of Tekla and Fabtrol software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera is preferred.
  • Understanding mathematics and possessing basic field tools for measurements.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and cost control standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of materials methods and tools involved in steel construction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage structural steel erection and miscellaneous metals installation projects.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure project success, from participating in steel detailing to creating comprehensive schedules.
  • Review specifications, prepare critical documents, and maintain detailed reports to track progress as well as preparing and negotiating change orders, deducts, and proposals with clients.
  • Effective communication and strong client relationships will be key in this role, as you coordinate with subcontractors, fabricators, and other project stakeholders.

Your day as a Project Manager

You will oversee and manage structural steel erection and miscellaneous metals installation projects. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure project success, from participating in steel detailing to creating comprehensive schedules. You will be responsible for reviewing specifications, preparing critical documents, and maintaining detailed reports to track progress as well as preparing and negotiating change orders, deducts, and proposals with clients.

Effective communication and strong client relationships will be key in this role, as you coordinate with subcontractors, fabricators, and other project stakeholders.
