Commercial Metals Company seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale projects, potentially performing duties remotely. The role requires managing budgets from proposal through closeout, coordinating across departments, and delivering profitable outcomes while ensuring safety and compliance.

Candidates should have 5+ years in construction project leadership, strong communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing large construction projects.
• Rebar, concrete and general contracting experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong cost control and financial acumen.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong scheduling and time management abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to interpret contract documents for complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Review proposals to determine time frames and procedures.
• Manage project direction, budget through closeout to maximize profitability.
• Resolve daily issues to ensure timely, safe, and profitable projects.
• Address conflicts in contracts and specifications.
• Identify value engineering opportunities from constructability constraints.
• Prepare project reports for management and customers.
• Administer change orders and delegate work as needed.
• Develop QC plans when required with defined responsibilities.
• Negotiate pricing and provide solutions for efficient project completion.
• Travel safely to project sites as needed.
• Serve as liaison between customer and internal teams (sales, detailing, operations, superintendents, shop).
• Provide 3-week look-ahead schedules weekly.
