Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 7+ years in commercial construction management (as Construction Manager or Owner’s Rep).
• Ability to read/interpret drawings, manage multiple contractors, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, multi-tasking, and communication abilities.
• Experience with Wisconsin building codes/permitting, LEED/sustainable practices, or municipal/educational/healthcare sectors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, budgeting, estimating, risk mitigation, and subcontractor bidding. Review documents for constructability and set project schedules.
• Lead weekly site meetings, monitor schedules/quality, manage RFIs/submittals, negotiate change orders, and review pay applications.
• Act as the primary owner liaison, resolve stakeholder conflicts, ensure site safety compliance, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• Experience: 7+ years in commercial construction management (specifically as Construction Manager or Owner’s Rep).
• Technical Skills: Ability to read/interpret drawings, manage multiple contractors, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, multi-tasking, and communication abilities.
• Certifications: PE, RA, CCM, PMP, or OSHA 30.
• Software: Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, MS Project, or Primavera (P6).
• Domain Knowledge: Experience with Wisconsin building codes/permitting, LEED/sustainable practices, or municipal/educational/healthcare sectors.
