Job summary

A&K Construction in Paducah, KY seeks a Project Manager to lead commercial construction efforts in a full‑time, in‑person role. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and client communications across renovations and ground-up builds.

Requirements include 5+ years in commercial construction PM and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. The company emphasizes growth, teamwork, and a strong safety culture in Western Kentucky with multiple regional offices.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years experience in Commercial Construction Project Management.
• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a construction project manager.
• Proven experience in construction project estimating.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project manager principles.
• Strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and budgets for projects.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop a detailed project schedule to monitor and track progress.
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
• Perform subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
• Detailed review and approval of all subcontractors pay applications.
• Review, verification, and approval of all project material invoices.
• Prepare and submit monthly pay applications to the Owner.
• Prepare all Change Order Proposals for review and approval by Owner.
• Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan.
