The Opportunity
We’re seeking a hands-on Construction Manager with strong experience in electrical or controls installation to lead Building Management System (BMS) work on a high-profile data center project. This is a field-focused role—you’ll be driving installation quality, subcontractor performance, and field productivity, not sitting behind paperwork.

To attract top talent, we offer a monthly living allowance stipend to support short-term or temporary relocation to the project site. This benefit is designed to cover living expenses without requiring a permanent move. Additional relocation support may be available for candidates seeking a permanent transition.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Direct impact: oversee day-to-day installation and resolve field issues in real time.
  • Exciting project: contribute to one of the most advanced mission-critical builds worldwide.
  • Leadership opportunity: manage subcontractors, enforce safety/quality, and mentor field teams.
  • Flexibility: onsite role with minimal additional travel (less than 10%).

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily onsite execution of BMS and low-voltage electrical installations.
  • Serve as the main field contact for subcontractors, ensuring scope, quality, and schedule are met.
  • Walk installations to identify risks and troubleshoot issues quickly.
  • Coordinate closely with client, general contractor, commissioning leads, engineers, and project managers.
  • Develop daily/weekly work plans with subcontractors, ensuring manpower readiness.
  • Enforce a safety-first mindset and uphold Thermo’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Build strong relationships with customers, trade partners, and internal teams.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance field culture.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years total experience, including 5+ years in construction management (mission-critical preferred).
  • Strong background in electrical or controls systems installation.
  • Field leadership skills: ability to direct crews, resolve issues onsite, and enforce standards.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude and understanding of control, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with scheduling tools.
  • Steady under pressure, open to new ideas, and adaptable in changing environments.
  • Valid driver’s license; must meet fit-for-duty requirements.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent and relevant technical experience.

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive salary, annual bonuses, and 401(k) with company match.
  • Comprehensive health benefits with multiple low-cost options.
  • Work-life balance: paid time off and company holidays.
  • Professional growth: technical training, tuition reimbursement, and clear career paths.
  • Culture perks: casual dress, free lunches, team events, and company swag.

Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually
Travel: Minimal, less than 10%
Employment: Full-time, direct hire
