Job Purpose and Function

The Construction Project Manager (Late-Stage) at Wills Group, the parent company of Dash In and Splash In, is responsible for the efficient management of all corporate-approved capital construction projects. This role involves ensuring that design specifications are met, capital budgets are adhered to, and that projects are completed on schedule. The Construction Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and finance, to monitor progress and address any challenges. Additionally, the incumbent will be accountable for maintaining safety standards, managing contractors, and reporting regularly on project status to senior management. The role requires a strong focus on achieving both quality and cost-efficiency while aligning with the overall corporate goals of Wills Group.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Project Execution: Construction of new corporate facilities, as well as the renovation of existing ones, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and local construction regulations.
• Bid Management: Lead the bidding process, and review bids to ensure they cover the full scope of the project. Select contractors who can meet cost, timeline, and quality requirements.
• Budget and Cost Control: Collaborate in the preparation and submission of capital budgets. Manage and track construction project expenditures, ensuring strict adherence to budget goals and financial targets. Provide detailed reports to senior management on financial performance.
• Timely Completion: Coordinate all aspects of construction to ensure timely project completion. This includes expediting permits, enforcing effective design execution, and managing contractor and consultant performance.
• Selection and Evaluation: Identify and select qualified contractors and consultants with a proven track record of delivering quality work on time and within budget. Evaluate contractor performance through regular assessments and ensure optimal cost efficiency and project outcomes.
• Contractor Relationship Management: Negotiate contracts, manage contractor relationships, and ensure clear communication regarding expectations, timelines, and project milestones.
• Adherence to Regulations: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal building codes, health, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Site Visits and Quality Control: Conduct on-site visits to monitor the progress of construction projects and ensure work is completed to specification, maintaining high standards of quality control.
• Consultant Management: Oversee and manage relationships with external consultants, including geotechnical, environmental, civil, traffic, and architectural professionals, ensuring timely input and deliverables.

What We’re Looking For

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field; equivalent relevant progressive experience and a minimum of high school diploma will also be considered.
• Award contracts in alignment with corporate objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and order necessary equipment, ensuring timely procurement to meet construction deadlines.
• On-site supervision of contractor performance, ensuring quality work and adherence to timelines.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions while maintaining budget adherence and project deadlines.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (visa sponsorship or C2C opportunities not available at this time).
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check, credit check in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record, utilizing personal vehicle for travel to new stores or markets with mileage reimbursement]

Availability and Travel

• This field-based role complies with our company’s hybrid telework schedule. Our operating days and hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with field days being Tuesday through Thursday, reserving Monday and Friday as work-from-home.
• Occasionally, business needs may require periodic work obligations outside of core business hours.
• This role may require occasional travel, including overnight stays for training, conferences, or other events with reimbursement available for approved accommodations and/or expenses.
• This role requires utilization of your personal vehicle for travel; mileage reimbursement and/or vehicle reimbursement programs are offered by Wills Group accordingly.
