Amtec Staffing seeks a Construction Project Manager for a Redford, MI manufacturing site. This onsite contract role leads plant construction projects ranging from $1M to $20M, with an overall duration of about 24 months.

The candidate must interpret drawings and coordinate with contractors to meet technical requirements, schedule, and budget. The role involves working with UAW skilled trades, providing progress updates to management, and maintaining current project documentation.

• Responsible for assuring that documentation is kept current.

• Participates in teams and cross-functional groups.
• Develop and implements productivity improvements.
• Evaluates and implements new technologies.
• Performs special projects as may be required.

Title: Construction Project Manager - Manufacturing Site

Location: Redford, MI - ONSITE

Contract position for ~2years with possibility of extension/conversion for FTE

Pay: $55-$60.00 hourly

Summary

This position provides strategic and technical leadership for plant construction projects. The project’s scope will include building preparation and installation of new equipment. The primary responsibilities include drawing interpretation and managing contractors to meet technical requirements, schedule, and budget. This position will manage projects ranging from $1M - $20M. The span of the overall project is expected to be 24 months. Work is of a technical nature where independent judgment is used, and decisions are made within the limits of general practice policies. The candidate must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University

The candidate will be responsible for all site and facility improvement projects, which includes preparing spaces for new equipment.We also have responsibility for maintaining the building and facilities.
