Job summary

Chesapeake Contracting Group is seeking a Project Manager in Charlottesville, VA to lead construction projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will direct project teams, facilitate meetings, and maintain records, reporting to a Senior PM or Project Executive.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the Site Superintendent and Estimating/Procurement teams, with a focus on value engineering, cost tracking, and successful project closeout.

Qualifications

• Experience leading construction projects from start to finish.
• Ability to coordinate with Site Superintendent and Senior PM.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in preconstruction activities and cost-effective planning.
• Review drawings, prepare RFIs, and develop solutions.
• Prepare preliminary schedules for preconstruction and construction phases.
• Collaborate on project budgets and monitor costs.
• Oversee subcontractor selections and commitments.
• Manage project in Procore including budgets and logs.
• Lead progress meetings and owner billing processes.
• Oversee project closeout and punchlist items.
