Job description

KOMAN Holdings is looking for a seasoned Construction Project Manager in or near the Denver area with federal construction experience to join our growing team. This role will be primarily remote but will require periods of travel for job‑site visits and job walks on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities
  • Manage O&M and construction projects that include tenant improvement and building renovations, design/build and design/bid/build for USACE, NAVFAC, Air Force, Coast Guard, and other federal entities.
  • Develop schedule, project budget, milestones, and projections for all projects assigned.
  • Monitor the progress schedule and make revisions as needed to ensure the projects stay on track.
  • Manage project financials including budgets, projections, and forecasts.
  • Prepare project reports, financial updates, and scorecards for management and clients.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and establish clear lines of communication, as well as pursue opportunities for new work growth.
  • Meet weekly with project site team to discuss progress, identify issues, and develop resolution.
  • Visit jobsite as needed to ensure work is proceeding in accordance with contract and specifications.
  • Oversee administrative teams and field supervisors.
  • Work with Construction Superintendent, quality and safety personnel to ensure progress is being made and issues are being resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide estimating support during the bidding process.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of project close‑out reports.
  • Participate in personnel evaluations and development plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • 10 years construction project management experience is required.
  • 8 years federal government contracting experience preferred with USACE or NAVFAC being required.
  • CQM Certification, OSHA 30, First Aid / CPR / AED is highly desired.
  • We expect our PMs to have a natural desire to coach and mentor their teams.
  • Strong technical skills and computer skills are necessary to be successful in this role.
  • Excellent working knowledge of EM 385-1-1.
