Job summary

ThinkingAhead is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial design-build projects across North Carolina. You will own projects from preconstruction to closeout, coordinating with field teams, clients, subcontractors, and leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires 5+ years with a commercial general contractor and a strong grasp of scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and communications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience managing commercial building projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and job cost management.
• Experience coordinating field personnel, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, owners, and inspectors.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
• Manage buyout, procurement, subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Monitor project costs, billing, and overall financial performance.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the duration of each project.

Compensation: $110,000–$125,000 base salary + vehicle + company card + bonus + full benefits
