ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare and negotiate cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables.
  • Select appropriate construction methods and strategies.
  • Interpret and explain contracts and technical information to workers and other professionals.
  • Report on work progress and budget matters to clients.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
  • Instruct and supervise superintendents and construction staff and activities onsite.
  • Respond to work delays and other problems and emergencies.
  • Select, hire, and instruct laborers and subcontractors.
  • Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
  • Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Cooperate with others in the accomplishment of joint tasks and common objectives.
  • Effectively communicate with coworkers, members of the department leadership, and other departments.
  • Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Construction blueprint reading required.
  • Ability of complex reading, writing, math, and task completion skills is required.
  • Must have the following skills: coordination, analyzing, supervising, instructing, driving, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Must have 5 years’ experience in hospitality construction project management or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
  • Must be able to maintain valid driver’s license and meet GSR driving requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly sitting, standing, walking, occasionally reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, climbing, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
  • Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50lbs or less occasionally.
  • Dependent on the shift the team member will be occasionally driving.
  • The team member will occasionally have repetitive use of both feet, constantly have repetitive use of both hands and require occasional light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be frequently required.
  • Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work performed indoors and outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around computer equipment.

  • Team Member may be exposed to confined areas, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes/odor, dirt/dust, moving objects, high places, slippery surfaces, and/or secondhand smoke.
