Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead project teams on diverse ground-up commercial construction. You will own budgeting, planning, scheduling, quality, and owner/subcontractor relationships to drive successful outcomes.

You will coordinate with staff, owners, architects, and trade partners, prepare contracts and change orders, and report on cost variance monthly. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience overseeing ground up, new commercial construction projects.
• Managed multiple projects with values from $10M-$35M+.
• Ability to organize, analyze, and solve problems on assigned projects.
• Effective communication and ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team and be responsible for budgeting, planning, scheduling, quality, and owner/subcontractor relations.
• Organize and participate in project meetings with staff, owners, architects, and trade partners.
• Prepare contracts and change orders promptly.
• Prepare and communicate monthly variance cost/budget reports to management.
• Provide oversight for all phases of construction, safety, staffing, and schedule/budget adherence.
• Foster solid partnership with owners to build on repeat business with clients.
• Produce and assist in close-out documentation.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• The Project Manager will lead the project team and have overall responsibility for the success of assigned project(s) with a focus on budgeting, planning, scheduling, quality, and relationship with owners and subcontractors.
• AREAS OF EXPERTISE: commercial, life sciences, K-12, higher education, office, religious, retail, restaurant, historical renovations, industrial, healthcare, medical, aviation, and/or municipal construction.

SELECT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with project team to ensure timely completion and accuracy of project information and targets.
• Organize and participate in project meetings with staff, owners, architects, and trade partners.
• Prepare contracts and change orders in a timely fashion.
• Prepare and communicate monthly variance cost/budget reports to the management team.
• Provide oversight for all phases of construction, including safety, staffing, and ensuring contract documents are being followed and work is on schedule and within budget.
• Foster strong partnership with owner to help the firm continue building on their 80% repeat business with current clients.
• Produce and assist in close-out documentation.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years experience overseeing ground up, new commercial construction projects.
• Successfully managed multiple projects to completion with values ranging from $10M-$35M+.
• Ability to organize, analyze, and problem solve challenges when they occur on assigned projects.
• Effective communication and ability to build/foster strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
