Job summary

Bound Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for a New York-based role with projects across the Tri-State area. You will lead interior, mechanical, civil, and utility projects, ensure safety, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients and vendors.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction experience and proficiency in Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with opportunities for growth within a client-focused

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of construction/project management experience.
  • Experience in interiors, mechanical, civil, or utility services.
  • Proven ability to lead projects across the Tri-State area.

Responsibilities

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, budgets, scope changes, and other documents using Procore.
  • Serve as primary contact for clients, subcontractors, stakeholders and vendors.
  • Conduct regular stakeholder meetings and report progress.
  • Communicate risks and mitigation plans proactively.
  • Develop and manage project schedules using MS Project.

Job description

Bound Construction is a dynamic Construction Management firm seeking an experienced Construction Project Managerfor a New York-based role with projects throughout the Tri-State area. An ideal candidate is a results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality construction projects.

As a leader in Corporate Interiors, Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare, and EV Charging Infrastructure projects, Bound offers the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting assignments while collaborating with industry experts. Our work environment is both challenging and client focused.

Candidate should have over 5 years of construction experience, with expertise in interiors, mechanical, civil, or utility services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, budgets, scope changes, and other project documents using Procore.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders & Vendors throughout the project.
  • Conduct regular meetings with key stakeholders to report on project progress.
  • Communicate project risks and propose mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the project team.
  • Develop and manage project schedules using MS Project.
  • Oversee construction progress and ensure updates are documented and reported.
  • Expertly interpret and manage construction drawings and documentation.
  • Outline and submit specifications as required.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define project scope and delivery methods.
  • Apply knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards to ensure quality and safety.
  • Negotiate and manage prime contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements while protecting financial interests and fostering positive client relationships.
  • Manage the design process to ensure timely delivery of quality and budget-conscious documents.
  • Lead and supervise a small to mid-sized team, ensuring effective and independent work.
  • Create and validate financial forecasts for upcoming project activities.
  • Develop bid packages and solicit proposals as per client policies.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
  • Cultivate relationships within client organizations to coordinate work and make decisions effectively.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organization, with the ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a proactive and independent work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam and Procore.
  • Ability to comprehend ARCH & MEP drawings and reports, with a focus on identifying potential improvements for project implementation.
Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.
  • Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
  • 5-7 years of relevant construction industry experience.
  • Experience in corporate interiors, interiors, mechanical, civil, or utility services.
