Job summary

Konik is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Minneapolis, MN to lead remodeling and custom home projects from preconstruction through closeout. This on-site role requires coordinating crews, suppliers, and design-build partners while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality.

You will be the primary client contact, manage change orders, track costs, and support warranty follow-up, delivering a high-quality client experience on every project.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential construction management experience.
• Experience with remodeling, additions, custom homes.
• Ability to review plans, scopes, schedules, budgets.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead project handoff, preconstruction planning, schedule development, procurement activities, and construction readiness efforts.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field resources to maintain project schedules and proper trade sequencing.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, workmanship, safety practices, and project quality.
• Resolve field issues involving site conditions, trade coordination, design conflicts, and schedule impacts.
• Serve as the primary client contact throughout construction, providing project updates and facilitating key decisions.
• Prepare, document, and secure approval for change orders before additional work is performed.
• Track project costs, maintain project documentation, support billing activities, and oversee project closeout and warranty follow-up.

Construction Project Manager

Minneapolis, MN | Direct Hire | $80,000-90,000 & Bonus | On-Site

Konik is partnering with a residential design-build contractor in the Saint Paul area seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead remodeling and custom home projects from preconstruction through final closeout. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of accountability for project execution, client communication, scheduling, quality, and budget performance.

This role offers the opportunity to manage residential renovation and custom home projects from contract handoff through completion while collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, designers, and internal stakeholders to deliver a high-quality client experience.

Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead project handoff, preconstruction planning, schedule development, procurement activities, and construction readiness efforts.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field resources to maintain project schedules and proper trade sequencing.

Construction Project Manager Qualifications:

• 3+ years of construction management experience supporting residential remodeling, additions, custom homes, or similar projects.
• Working knowledge of residential construction methods, trade sequencing, permitting requirements, and construction documentation.
• Ability to review plans, scopes, schedules, and budgets and identify issues before they impact construction.
• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and project schedules.
• Strong client-facing communication skills and ability to manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Proficiency with project management software, Microsoft Outlook, and spreadsheet-based tracking tools.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local project sites.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with design-build project delivery.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $100,000 and monitoring budgets against actual costs.
