Job description

The Construction Project Manager is accountable for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of capital construction projects. This role manages project teams, oversees vendor performance, and ensures that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead project teams across all phases of construction.
• Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversee coordination between design, engineering, procurement, and construction stakeholders.
• Supervise contractor selection and performance, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Implement project governance frameworks and reporting processes.
• Resolve project-level issues through collaboration and strategic decision-making.
• Monitor compliance with building codes, environmental standards, and safety regulations.
• Promote continuous improvement in construction delivery practices and vendor relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or Related Field

EXPERIENCE

• 6+ years of experience managing construction projects, with direct accountability for budget, schedule, and performance oversight.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

• Proficiency in construction software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Procore, MS Project, Smartsheet, Bluebeam)
• Advanced understanding of construction practices, materials, and documentation
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under deadline pressures
