Job summary

Prime Data Centers in Texas seeks a Data Center Construction PM to lead site design, pre-construction, and construction activities for multiple data center projects. You will collaborate with operations, designers, engineers, procurement, vendors, and facilities staff to ensure on-time delivery and Prime quality.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial construction, a Construction Management degree or equivalent, and proficiency with Bluebeam or Procore.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Data Center construction experience preferred; CM experience required.
• 5+ years in commercial construction practices.
• Proficient with construction management tools such as Bluebeam or Procore.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-phased data center construction projects to meet schedule, budget, and quality.
• Communicate with project teams to reduce constraints between Owner, Design Team and Contractor.
• Coordinate with EH&S to ensure site safety procedures are followed.
• Provide cost analysis feedback and constructability reviews with design teams.
• Manage RFP processes and evaluate pricing proposals.
• Review invoices, change orders, and monitor project costs and cash flow.
• Travel up to 30%.

About the role

Primarily leading and managing site design, pre-construction, and construction activities; the Data Center Construction PM (CPM) is critical in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and of Prime quality. The CPM interacts with many departments and contractors including operations, designers, engineers, procurement, vendors, and facilities staff.

What you'll do

• Manage multi-phased projects to achieve schedule, budget, and quality standards
• Provide appropriate communication with project team to reduce constraints between Owner, Design Team and Contractor
• Collaborate with the EH&S Officer to ensure site construction safety procedures are implemented and followed
• Work with the design team to provide cost analysis feedback and constructability reviews
• Provide schedule input and communicate impacts related to document deliverables
• Support the development of GC RFP's
• Manage the RFP Process including evaluation and leveling of pricing proposals
• Work closely with the procurement team on equipment procurement and delivery processes
• Monitor RFI's and submittals, ensure they are coordinated with project team
• Create and monitor project budget and cost-to-date variance budget
• Establish project schedules and cash flow forecasts
• Create and communicate updates on project status monthly
• Maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for multiple projects
• Review monthly invoices from contractors, including detailed review of invoicing and WIP production
• Review change order requests from contractors and negotiate pricing
• Travel up to 30%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent professional experience
• Data Center experience highly preferred; construction management experience required
• 5+ years' experience in commercial construction practices and procedures
• Effective presentation development and communication skills
• Proficiency with construction management tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, or similar.
• Competitive salary range- $130,000 - $180,000 - along with an annual performance & a quarterly project bonus
• 401k up to a 4% employer match that is f fully vested upon enrollment
