Job summary

EV Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead projects from initiation to close, owning the process and managing risks to deliver on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in construction management or related field and at least 10 years' experience in construction/engineering disciplines, with strong communication, leadership, and training willingness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field; equivalent combination acceptable.
• 10 years in construction management/architectural tech/engineering.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Proficiency in project scheduling software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Bluebeam.
• Estimating experience is a plus.

Job description

We're seeking an additional member of our Project Management team. The primary role of this position is to lead the project team from beginning to end and "own" the process. Project Managers should know the project financials in/out and be able to identify project risks and navigate solutions to mitigate them. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in construction management or related construction field. Ideal candidates will have prior experience managing large commercial and/or industrial projects to completion, on time, and within budget. Seeking individuals that are eager to learn, good communicators, possess leadership qualities, are willing to train and assist others, and are enthusiastic about construction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Help support day-to-day project needs as well as facilitate long-term planning of the project.
• Help support the project team in the field.
• Management of all contract documents for the project.
• Facilitate coordination meetings and create team action items.
• Help assemble, organize and execute trade contractor change orders.
• Assist with preconstruction efforts for projects or participate in bid-teams when needed.
• Work closely with the owner, designer, and trades. Create and grow relationships.
• Coordinate the overall schedule and planning of the project, working alongside the field management team. Should be able to effectively push progress forward using relationships, tact, humility, and intellect.
• Help support any self-perform trades on projects.
• Coordinate all project financials including trade invoicing, owner pay applications, project margin analysis, and cost estimating.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience requirements include; 10 years working in construction management, architectural technology, and/ or engineering field.
• Educational requirements include; minimum 4-year construction management, architectural technology, and/ or engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training, or, minimum 4-year equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Must know how to read plans and specifications.
• Must have proficiency in project scheduling software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam or Adobe required.
• Estimating experience is a plus.
