Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead capital projects at a chemical manufacturing facility in South Deerfield, MA. The role requires overseeing multi-discipline teams, contractors, and safety compliance from planning through completion.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in construction management, with 3 years in a chemical or industrial plant, and experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project. This is a long-term contract opportunity with a competitive hourly pay rate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years of Construction Management experience, including 3 years in chemical/petrochemical/industrial environments.
• Experience managing EPC projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA, PSM, contractor safety, and industrial construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction, expansion, and capital improvement projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and EHS to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.
• Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and vendors with regulatory site safety compliance.
• Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, PSM, MOC, LOTO, hot work permits, confined space, and PSSR.
• Monitor installation of process equipment, piping, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
• Provide project status updates and support permitting activities with regulatory agencies.

Duration: Long Term Contract

Pay Rate: $75–$85/hour (W2) all inclusive

We have an immediate opening for a Construction Manager supporting capital projects at a chemical manufacturing facility in South Deerfield, MA.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage construction, expansion, and capital improvement projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and EHS teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and vendors while ensuring compliance with site safety requirements.
• Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, Process Safety Management (PSM), Management of Change (MOC), LOTO, hot work permits, confined space entry, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
• Monitor installation of process equipment, piping, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
• Provide project status updates and support permitting activities with regulatory agencies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of Construction Management experience, including at least 3 years in a chemical, petrochemical, refinery, or industrial process plant environment.
• Experience managing EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, PSM, contractor safety, and industrial construction practices.
• Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar scheduling software.
• Knowledge of process piping, P&IDs, mechanical equipment installation, and instrumentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
• Experience with ASME, API, NEC, and NFPA codes.
• Hazardous materials or EPA RMP experience.
