Role Description

The Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Baton Rouge, LA. This role oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of multifamily, commercial, and residential construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating project schedules, managing contractors and vendors, monitoring site progress, and enforcing safety and quality standards. The Construction Project Manager will prepare and track budgets, review bids and change orders, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within financial targets. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners, resolving site issues, maintaining documentation, and providing regular status reports to leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Construction Project Management and Construction Management for overseeing ground-up and renovation projects.
• Proficiency in Project Management and Project Coordination to manage timelines, stakeholders, and project documentation.
• Experience with Budgeting and cost control, including estimating, tracking expenses, and managing change orders.
• Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction best practices, particularly in multifamily and commercial development.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities on-site.
• Proficiency with construction management software and standard office tools (e.g., MS Office, scheduling software).
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Prior experience managing construction projects in real estate development or property management environments is highly beneficial.
