Job summary

Cooperative Building Solutions (CBS) in Saint Louis, MO, is offering an internship designed to give students exposure to the full life cycle of construction projects and the office environment. Interns will work with all departments to gain a comprehensive view of CBS operations and project workflow.

Key duties include supporting project teams with contract administration, scheduling, procurement, document control, cost tracking, safety walks, and quality inspections.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to commute and relocate for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Supporting project teams with general contract administration.
• Assist with scheduling, work planning, and sequencing.
• Coordinating material and equipment procurement and delivery.
• Supporting shop drawing and submittal review, tracking, and document control.
• Assist with mechanical, electrical, and piping system coordination.
• Support cost tracking, change management, and billing.
• Assist with project closeout process.
• Perform quantity takeoff from bid documents.
• Review subcontractor bids for scope completeness.
• Contact subcontractors to solicit interest in participating in bid efforts.
• Monitor quality control efforts.
• Participate in jobsite safety walks and inspections.
• Research and recommend construction means, methods, and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
