Job summary

Holland Partner Group seeks an Associate Project Intern to support the construction project team during design and construction of our projects. The role helps develop interpersonal and technical skills while maintaining documentation for project management in line with company values.

The intern will assist with estimates, proposals, design coordination, drawings review, and subcontractor liaison, with emphasis on budget, schedule and customer satisfaction goals.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s program in civil/ construction/ architecture or related field.
• Construction jobsite and design-build experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers in identifying, pursuing and completing sales on assigned projects.
• Participate in client contact with project managers.
• Prepare detailed components of conceptual and detailed estimates and review with supervisor.
• Assist in writing proposals and in management of project design aspects to meet budget and schedule.
• Coordinate with project and design team for working drawings and buildability reviews.
• Review construction and shop drawings for errors and constructability.
• Assist in project close-out, subcontractor and supplier communications, and cost projections.
• Prepare drafts of subcontract bid scopes and contract scopes for review.
• Work with governmental agencies to aid project success and resolve issues.
• Monitor budgets and schedules and write cost/status reports.
• Assist meetings to keep supervisor informed of project status and progress.
• Represent Holland Partner Group professionally at all times.
