Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (preference for Engineering degree).
• Construction jobsite and design-build experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Superior analytical aptitude.
• Effective written and oral communication skills, able to communicate with diverse audiences.
• Self-starting and driven.
• Honest and prepared to work in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
• Hearing and visual ability to detect emergency situations.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal.

Responsibilities

• Supporting project managers in sales activities for assigned projects.
• Participating in client communications alongside project managers.
• Preparing detailed components of conceptual and detailed estimates for supervisor review.
• Assisting in proposal writing.
• Managing design aspects of assigned projects to meet budget, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Coordinating with project and design teams to prepare working drawings.
• Reviewing construction and shop drawings for buildability and errors.
• Assisting or managing construction and project close-out to ensure goals are met.
• Initiating and participating in subcontractor and supplier communications.
• Assisting in project schedule preparation.
• Reviewing drawings, budgets, schedules, and project matters with jobsite superintendent.
• Reporting cost projections to supervisor regularly and assisting project manager with cost projections.
• Assisting in preparation of owner change orders.
• Preparing drafts of subcontract bid scopes and contract scopes for review.
• Working with governmental agencies to support project success and resolve issues.
• Monitoring budgets and schedules, resolving problems, and writing job cost and status reports.
• Optimizing team effectiveness and coordinating project team efforts.
• Assisting project managers and superintendents with QA/QC, safety, documentation, and other duties.
• Maintaining productive working relationships with team and company personnel.
• Initiating meetings to update supervisor on project status and progress.
• Representing Holland Partner Group professionally at all times.
• Conforming to company apparel standards and setting a positive example.
• Performing other duties as directed to support the team.
