Mortenson’s Data Center Solutions Team seeks a Project Operations Accountant to provide accounting, analysis and financial support for construction projects. You will serve as the key liaison from Finance to the project team, oversee contract compliance, billings, and cost reporting.

The role requires experience in project accounting, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems like Textura and Oracle. This on-site position offers competitive pay and benefits in Minneapolis.

Qualifications

• Detail orientation and organizational skills sufficient to support multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience supporting many team members in a project environment.
• Construction accounting experience preferred; CPC knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review contract requirements and allocate budgets; handle payroll and insurance reporting.
• Process receivables and billings to maintain favorable project cash flow.
• Process payables and subcontractor setups; ensure project costs are captured.
• Conduct project cost analyses and assist with monthly projections.
• Report labor costs by geographic area; review certified payrolls for accuracy.
• Assist auditors and participate in annual inventory procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
