Job summary

Poettker Construction Company is seeking a versatile construction coordinator to support Project Management, Field Operations, and administrative teams on diverse projects in the United States.

You will handle subcontracts, project setup, submittals, scheduling, change management, and communications, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery while maintaining detailed records and close-out documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering or related field preferred.
• USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors and OSHA 30 Hour Training & Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Management, Field Operations, Preconstruction, Risk Management, Business Development and Accounting departments.
• Project Contracts including creation of subcontracts packets.
• Project Setup including Preconstruction Turnover, Job Cost Setup, Project Buyout, Files and File Management and meeting Process Time Frames.
• Submittals including submittal log creation, reviewing and approving submittals, and process time frames.
• Scheduling and Coordination of subcontractors, site personnel, activities, and materials on assigned projects; maintain schedules throughout construction.
• Project Change Management including owner changes with RFIs, RFPs, AIs, change directives and proceed orders; manage back charges and scope gaps.
• Communications including meetings, minutes, transmittals, letters, emails and calendars.
• Cost Tracking, Equipment Reports and Tracking.
• Pay Applications including reviewing subcontractor billings, certified payrolls, and lien waivers.
• Project Close-Out Procedures including punch list, O&M manuals, AS-Built drawings, warranties, final billings.
