Independence Construction, Inc. in Columbus, OH is hiring a Project Engineer to support project managers and superintendents across all phases of a construction project. You will coordinate with subs, vendors, and internal teams to drive on-time, on-budget performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM or engineering or related education/experience.
• 1–3 years of related construction experience required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of budgeting and expense control.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Organize work and multitask to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with subs, vendors, and Independence Construction project team.
• Administer and monitor contracts with Owners, subs and vendors.
• Coordinate and expedite materials and services with the superintendent.
• Schedule and manage meetings through each phase of construction and preconstruction.
• Assist PM with budget, revisions, cost projections, and cash flow; generate reports.
• Review and coordinate structural, architectural and MEP drawings.
• Assist PM in change management oversight and processes.
• Log and process RFIs and submittals; maintain logs and distribute to team.
