Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 3 years of work experience in Wastewater Treatment.
  • Alternative: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 5 years of work experience in Wastewater Treatment.
  • FE Civil Exam passed.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate scope, schedule, and cost management; assist design reviews and prepare technical recommendations.
  • Review submittals, RFIs, RFPs; maintain conformed documents and as-built drawings; verify monthly payments.
  • Lead field inspections and quality assurance; resolve design conflicts and monitor field conditions.
  • Perform CPM scheduling and cost estimating; track milestones and budgets.
  • Conduct SWPPP inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns.

Your impact

We are looking for a Construction Project Engineer Professional Associate to work in Columbus, OH and various unanticipated worksites in the US.

Responsibilities include:

Project Coordination & Technical Support: Assist in scope, schedule, and cost management. Assist design reviews and provide technical recommendations. Interface with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders during commissioning. Construction Documentation & Controls: Review and process Submittals, RFIs, RFPs, and Potential Change Orders. Maintain conformed documents and as-built drawings. Validate work completed for monthly progress payments. Writing meeting minutes and preparing regular reports. Field Engineering & Quality Assurance: Conduct field visits and surveys to monitor construction progress. Lead quality assurance efforts with a focus on technical compliance. Resolve design conflicts and interpret field conditions. Scheduling & Cost Management: Assess CPM schedules and network updates using Primavera P6 or MS Project. Perform quantity takeoffs and cost estimating for construction changes. Track project milestones and budgets using project management tools. Environmental Compliance: Conduct Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections. Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and best practices. Mentorship & Leadership Provide guidance to junior engineers and interns.

Here's what you'll need

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field and 3 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in Wastewater Treatment. As an alternative, employer will accept: a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field and 5 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in Wastewater Treatment.

SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise and knowledge of: Design & Drafting: AutoCAD Civil 3D. Create and markup drawings, manage layers/surfaces, calculate volumes, update as-builts. Project Management: Primavera P6 / Microsoft Project (scheduling) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Bluebeam Revu (digital markup). SharePoint / OneDrive (collaborative document management). Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex workflows. Water treatment and environmental regulatory compliance. Track record of delivering high-impact infrastructure projects on time and within budget. Advanced proficiency in civil engineering design and field analysis. Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure.

Passed FE Civil Exam.

OSHA 10-hour.

The base salary range for this position is $128,211.00 to $132,775.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
