Job summary

Garney is seeking a Project Engineer in Fairfax, VA to support the project management team with document control, submittals, RFIs, and coordination from start to finish. The role requires travel and offers entry-level PM experience in a leading construction company.

You will assist in estimating, project setup and closeout, and support field operations while maintaining detailed job costs and collaborating with owners, architects, and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
• Willing to travel and work required hours to ensure project success
• Entry-level project management experience or internship preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the project management team with tasks such as negotiating and purchasing materials, maintaining documents, and acting as a point of contact with owners, architects, and engineers.
• Create Submittals and RFIs and coordinate projects from start to finish, including estimating, project setup & closeout, and supporting field operations.
• Work with owners and engineers; assist in scheduling projects and crews; maintain detailed job costs.
