Job summary

OBrien Construction is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will assist in developing and maintaining schedules, budgets and plans, and ensure effective document control with submittals, RFIs and meeting minutes.

You will coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials, assist with estimating extra work, and help expedite project tasks while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets and plans.
• Manage document control including submittals, RFIs and meeting minutes.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely material deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Assist with estimating extra work, preparing correspondence and expediting project tasks.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
• Proactively identify and resolve project challenges.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Participate in the Job Rotation Program to gain valuable experience in various construction disciplines.
