Job summary

Calcon Constructors, Inc., headquartered in Englewood, CO, is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and Superintendent on various projects. The role emphasizes safe practices, detailed planning, and coordination with Owners, Architects/Engineers, and subcontractors.

The position requires a B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management with 1–2 years of experience, internship experience, and solid computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) along with scheduling software

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 1-2 years’ experience.
• Intern experience required.
• Solid computer skills; Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and scheduling software.
• Verifiable work references demonstrating professionalism and reliability.
• Strong communication with internal stakeholders and external parties.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact with Project Manager/Senior PM to ensure conformance with drawings and specs.
• Assist with pre-construction tasks.
• Coordinate project documents (RFIs, submittals, drawings) and monitor turnaround.
• Review submittals for accuracy and coordination with procurement.
• Aid in preparation of subcontracts and purchase agreements.
• Coordinate subcontractors’ schedules with the Superintendent.
• Monitor project safety requirements.
• Support project closeout in line with contract terms.
