Fortis Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate day-to-day activities between client, Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors. You will manage documentation, RFIs, submittals, procurement, and change orders to bring projects from plans to closeout.

You should be detail-oriented, proactive and collaborative, capable of resolving conflicts and maintaining strong relationships with owners, vendors and field teams across Fortis construction sites.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word), PDF, and estimating/document programs.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain job files (RFIs, specs, addenda, docs) in print and digital formats as required.
• Prepare, review, and distribute RFIs, submittals, and contract docs; ensure compliance with contracts.
• Procure and monitor delivery of materials; ensure price, quality and specs.
• Execute the project within established financial boundaries.
• Support the Project Superintendent with schedule development and monitoring; align construction with the contract schedule.
• Ensure subcontracts and purchase orders are executed; verify subcontractor insurance and clear scope responsibilities; review payments.
• Manage procurement log with PM and Superintendent to avoid delays.
• Review change orders; perform quantity takeoffs; maintain change order log.
• Manage closeout matrix; compile manuals and record drawings; coordinate owner testing/training.
• Address warranty issues post substantial completion.
• Assist in other duties as assigned to meet team objectives.
