Job summary

bkimechanical is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Management team in estimating and managing construction projects. You will review drawings, assemble bid details, and coordinate with subcontractors to secure information for bids.

This role requires reading drawings, budgeting, scheduling, and maintaining project databases. Travel to job sites and interface with GC or stakeholders as needed. Strong MS Projects and Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent degree.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• 2+ years of construction experience and projects up to $2.5M.
• Proficient in MS Projects and the Office suite.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist PM in estimating and managing construction projects.
• Review drawings for accuracy and assemble bid details.
• Coordinate subcontractors for information and timelines.
• Maintain project schedule and budget.
• Travel to job sites as needed to review progress.
• Support WIP reporting and project documentation.
