Job summary

AllSearch Professional Staffing, Inc. is recruiting for a Construction Project Engineer to join a Warren, MI office supporting banking-industry construction projects.

You will help set up projects, coordinate with estimators and PMs, review drawings, manage documents, and track RFIs and submittals, with occasional travel to project sites. You should have 2+ years in commercial construction, a Construction Management or related degree, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Construction Management or similar degree required.
• Experience reviewing and interpreting construction plans and specifications relative to project scope and schedule.
• Experience or education working with architectural and structural drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with construction project documentation, project coordination, or construction management processes.
• Ability to work full time from the Warren, MI office and active project sites.
• Ability to travel to different cities and states approximately 2-3 days per month.
• Ability to complete required background and driving record screenings in accordance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Set up construction projects, including subcontractor onboarding and project closeout documentation.
• Maintain project documentation and records using Procore and Microsoft Excel.
• Review and analyze construction drawings, blueprints, plans, specifications, contracts, and related project documentation.
• Prepare, process, and track RFIs, submittals, prime contracts, and other construction documents.
• Coordinate with the Estimating team throughout the bidding and preconstruction process.
• Assist with project planning, construction scheduling, permitting, and project coordination.
• Assist with evaluating project costs and the impact of revisions and change orders.
• Coordinate subcontractors, clients, site personnel, and internal project teams throughout all stages of assigned projects.
• Support field and site coordination throughout project execution.
• Travel to project sites, including occasional out-of-state travel approximately 2-3 days per month.

Construction Project Engineer - Banking Industry Construction - Base Salary to 60k/year - Warren, MI

• Our client is an established commercial general contractor specializing in construction projects for financial institutions throughout the Upper Midwest and nationwide. Projects include commercial renovations, remodeling, and ground-up construction.
• The Construction Project Engineer will support commercial construction projects from project setup through closeout, coordinating with Estimators, Project Managers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, and clients. This position works from the Warren, MI office and active project sites, with occasional out-of-state travel.
