Job Summary

Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Project Engineer manages all aspects of a project from inception to completion. Supports the project team by performing administrative duties including, but not limited to, submittal processing, RFI creation and distribution, daily photos, take-offs, reports, meeting minutes, quality control lists, punch lists, etc. Assists the Project Manager, Lead Superintendent, and Field Superintendent(s) as necessary.

General Accountabilities

• Project Planning and Design: Collaborating with architects and engineers to develop detailed project plans and designs.
• Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets to ensure financial feasibility.
• Scheduling: Developing project schedules and timelines, coordinating with stakeholders for timely completion.
• Site Management: Overseeing construction activities, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
• Resource Allocation: Managing labor, materials, and equipment to optimize efficiency.
• Communication: Acting as liaison between clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Problem Solving: Addressing issues during construction, including technical and logistical challenges.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining project documentation and progress reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Recent graduation from a construction-related field or at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Understanding of construction terminology and blueprint reading skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint).
• Proficient with Procore Construction Software and PDF editors like Bluebeam.
• Effective multitasking, communication, and time management skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Attention to detail to meet project specifications.

Physical Requirements

The candidate must be able to walk, stoop, sit, bend, reach, lift up to 25 pounds, operate a motor vehicle, and perform manual tasks. Work may involve irregular hours and travel to various sites, in both office and field environments.
