Job description

Qualifications:
• BS or MS Degree in a relevant engineering discipline required, such as chemical or mechanical engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience managing capital projects, with competence in Project Management; ability to start and complete projects. PMP certification is a plus.
• Strong desire to learn new technologies, chemistries, and processes.
• Ability to work in and transition between manufacturing, lab, and office environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of verbal communication one-on-one and in front of groups.

Responsibilities:
• Drive innovation and process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead major and minor capital projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Execute changes effectively using management of change tools.
• Specify, procure, commission, and sustain new equipment.
• Manage contractors and vendors.
• Provide status reports on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Build cross-functional relationships with Maintenance, R&D, Production, Safety, and Quality teams.
• Analyze data and process outputs to reduce variability.
• Investigate deviations with root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
• Support manufacturing instruction improvements for repeatable operations.
• Support site safety initiatives and foster safety culture.
