Construction Project Engineer - Ready to Engineer the Future of Water?

Competitive salary: $91,783 to $179,902, based on experience - Centreville, VA 20121

The Role

Do you have a strong background in civil engineering and construction projects? Are you ready to lead innovative water recycling solutions? If so, we want you to join our team as a Construction Project Engineer at the Upper Occoquan Service Authority (UOSA)!

As a Construction Project Engineer at UOSA, you will manage engineering projects that shape the future of water recycling. You'll oversee facility upgrades, solve engineering challenges, and contribute to the advancement of sustainable water solutions. Your work will be key in maintaining UOSA’s reputation as an industry leader in water resource management.

We have two positions available; selection will be based on the candidate’s qualifications. Starting salary will be within the specified range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage construction projects related to water and wastewater facilities.
  • Oversee design, planning, and implementation phases of projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operators, technicians, and leadership.
  • Serve as the main representative for project progress and technical decision-making.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality to ensure timely and efficient completion.
  • Evaluate new technologies and apply them to improve processes.

The Person

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a BS in Engineering (Civil Engineering).
  • Holds an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification (required for some positions).
  • Has experience in civil engineering and construction projects, especially in water or wastewater facilities.
  • Can think critically and solve complex engineering problems.
  • Enjoys collaborating with a diverse team to achieve goals.
  • Is comfortable with physical work requirements, including walking, lifting, and climbing.
  • Possession of a vehicle operator's license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required.
