Job summary

UIC Oil and Gas Support (UICOGS) seeks a Cost Controller to support financial operations and assist project management teams in creating, managing, and distributing cost control information for construction projects.

The role focuses on inputting, tracking, and generating reports on project costs, collaborating with project teams to plan and execute cost control functions for government and private sector projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of construction accounting systems.
• Extensive knowledge of Government invoicing methods.
• Ability to read and understand reports and documents efficiently.
• Coordinate with internal and external personnel effectively.
• Proven attention to detail and accuracy in cost data.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed, timely project cost information for management and project teams.
• Input job numbers, budgets, and costs into the job cost system.
• Maintain and analyze project cost data for weekly/ monthly reviews.
• Prepare cost reports and variance analyses for government and private sector projects.
• Assist in creating project budgets and updating forecasts and cash flows.
• Ensure accuracy of payroll and subcontractor cost data in project accounting.
