Job summary

UIC Oil and Gas Support (UICOGS) seeks a Cost Controller to support financial operations and assist project management teams in creating, managing, and distributing cost control information for construction projects.

The role is responsible for inputting, tracking, and generating reports on project costs and collaborates with government and private sector projects to plan, manage, and execute cost control functions.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of construction accounting systems.
• Extensive knowledge of government invoicing and contract methods.
• Experience with private sector invoicing and cost reporting.
• Proficient in creating and interpreting project cost reports.
• Strong MS Office skills and ability to present data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Input job numbers, phase codes, and budgets into the cost system for projects.
• Prepare and distribute project cost reports and budgets.
• Review contract requirements and ensure proper administrative costs.
• Maintain project cost master files and reconcile payroll and labour costs.
• Oversee subcontractor payroll reports and change orders in the cost system.
• Support project management with timely cost information for reviews.
