Job description

Support the Construction Project Manager across all phases of new stand development. Primary focus is driving pipeline deals through plan set drafting, review, and submission, and managing the permitting process from application through approval. Additionally coordinates vendor scheduling for construction work and for New Stand Opening (NSO) installations and post-opening service visits, acting as a reliable operational partner to the Construction Project Manager and the broader Development team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the Construction Project Manager across all new stand development, remodel, and facility upgrade projects as directed.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and design consultants to draft, redline, and finalize plan sets for pipeline deals.
  • Track plan set status across all pipeline sites; route drawings for internal and franchisor review, and manage revisions until final approval.
  • Compile and submit plan sets and supporting documentation for permitting to municipalities, franchisor, and other applicable authorities.
  • Manage the end-to-end permitting process: prepare and file applications, monitor jurisdictional requirements and timelines, respond to plan review comments, and secure permits needed to begin construction.
  • Maintain a permitting and plan set tracker across all active and pipeline sites; provide regular status updates to the Construction Project Manager and Executive Committee.
  • Identify and elevate permitting or plan review delays that could impact project schedules.
  • Schedule and coordinate vendors and subcontractors for construction-related work, confirming scope, timing, and site access.
  • Schedule and coordinate vendor visits for New Stand Openings (NSOs), including equipment and signage installation ahead of opening.
  • Following NSOs, schedule and coordinate vendor visits to troubleshoot and resolve outstanding installation or equipment issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors on scheduling matters, confirming appointments and communicating changes to all stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Construction Project Manager with FFE ordering and delivery tracking, utility coordination, and stakeholder communication as needed.
  • Maintain organized digital files and documentation for permits, plan sets, vendor schedules, and related project records.
  • Assist with coordination of post-construction maintenance services (e.g., landscaping, HVAC preventive maintenance) as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at the discretion of management or franchisor; this description is intended to describe the general level of work performed and is not all-inclusive.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven, with strong follow-through on multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable coordinating with architects, engineers, vendors, and municipal staff.
  • Working knowledge of permitting processes and municipal approval workflows preferred; will train motivated candidates without direct experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, site plans, and permit documents a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu is a plus.
  • Prior experience in QSR, franchising, or construction/development coordination is a plus but not required.
  • Must maintain confidential information and adhere to company policies, programs, and compliance requirements.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to the DFW area.
  • Required travel approximately 10% for site visits, vendor coordination, and NSO support.
  • Valid driver's license, satisfactory background check, and ability to meet the physical demands of the position required.
