Job summary

JLM Strategic Talent Partners is seeking a site-based procurement and contracts professional to support construction projects in Renton. The role focuses on change orders, procurement-to-pay, and contractor administration to keep projects on schedule.

You will work closely with Project Controls and leaders to resolve issues, manage documentation, and ensure subcontractor compliance while coordinating with multiple departments on site.

Qualifications

• Experience working in construction and/or transportation is required.
• Must be a strong communicator and organized team player.
• On-site collaboration with project teams and subcontractors.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines on fast-paced projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage change orders.
• Prepare and manage procure to pay process.
• Administration of payment procedures.
• Interface with Project Controls and leadership on changes and progress.
• Evaluate Seller/Subcontractor performance for contractual compliance.
• Document management and backup coordination with business services.
• Oversee subcontractors and track material costs at site.
• Create monthly reports on material costs and inventory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS

• Prepare and manage change orders
• Prepare and manage procure to pay process
• Administration of payment procedures
• Administration of back-charges and resolution of claimsInterface with Project Controls and Project Leadership on changes and progress regarding Seller and Subcontractor management
• Interface with multiple departments and disciplines to evaluate Seller/Subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
• Interface with Business Services for invoice and document management resolution
• Interface with Seller/Subcontractors regarding proper documentation backup, contract procedures, and work under the direction of Project Controller(s)/Contracts Manager
• Oversee sub-contractors.
• Track material costs and quantities entering project sites
• Create reports based on monthly material costs and inventory
• Other duties as assigned
