Job summary

The University of Florida is seeking a Construction Accounting professional to support capital projects on the Main Campus in Gainesville. You will review expenditures, reconcile project accounts, monitor purchase order balances, and prepare correcting entries to ensure compliance with contracts and funding requirements.

You will provide operational backup for key accounting functions, assist with project funding requests and reporting, and participate in special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area; two years of relevant experience.
• Experience with capital construction accounting preferred.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills required.
• Ability to interpret University, State and Federal rules and policies.

Responsibilities

• Construction Accounting Processing: review expenditures, reconcile accounts, monitor PO balances, and prepare correcting entries.
• Operational Backup Support: assist with project funding requests and related transactions.
• Reporting: assist with recurring and ad hoc financial reports for audits.
• Special Projects: participate in special projects as assigned.
