Job summary

Cranshaw Construction seeks a Project Accountant to join the Construction Finance & Accounting team. You will partner with Project Managers, Operations, and Finance to support project financial reporting, owner billing, subcontractor compliance, and cost/revenue visibility from setup through closeout.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project accounting experience; construction experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of AIA billing, job cost, revenue recognition, retainage, lien waivers.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain project budgets, markups, and staff billing rates.
• Prepare owner billings and track through approval workflow.
• Review contracts for billing requirements, markups, retainage, lien waivers, and backing docs.
• Manage subcontractor compliance docs including insurance certificates and waivers.
• Cost-code invoices with Accounts Payable and vendors to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain monthly job projections using PM-provided forecast data.
• Support audits, reconciliations, and project financial documentation.
